My overall thoughts:

I like that you can now use TMs multiple times: In my other pokemon games, i was so distraught over giving TMs to pokemon that did't benefit from them that i'd never use them. I also like that Poke Marts are now inside of the Pokemon Centers. However, there are a couple things I don't like: first, the blockiness of the pokemon's battle sprites when zommed in on. GAAAAAHHHHHH, my eyes hurt! The stationary sprites from the GBA games never did this!
2nd, the Pansear/Panpour/Pansage thing is OK, but it's like having a second starter pokemon. You have to trade even more now to get the Pokedex filled up. My next issue is with Team Plasma. I've noticed the Teams in the games can be compared to shady organizations in real life:
Team Rocket= the Mafia (their boss is named Giovanni)
Team Aqua/Magma= eco-terrorists (want to flood the world/turn it into a giant dry wasteland)
Team Galactic=doomsday cult (Cyrus wants to destroy and remake the world)
But Team Plasma feel more like Poke-Templars, even though they are a pain in the arse and are a bunch of HYPOCRITES.
My next issue is with N. At first , i was all "N? As NEAR? OMG POKEMON HAS CROSSED OVER WITH DEATH NOTE SHIT'S GETTING REAL!!!!"
But he is what Tv Tropes would describe as a "Cloud Cuckoolander"……. he ain't really all there, kinda like Bianca. Speaking of Bianca, i found it odd that she takes the pokemon that has the type disadvantage to yours, while Cheren takes the pokemon that's got a type advantage over yours. Now, I don't know if this is me overreacting, the sleep deficiency talking, or me just running my keyboard, but if you consider your character to be of no gender, Cheren beats you, and you beat bainca. Is anyone else seeing the sexist undertones, or is it just me? Then again, Bianca's pokemon has the type that beat's Cheren's starter, so we can throw this theory out the window. That's all I have to say for now.

Bianca can't beat you but she can probably beat Cheren. I hate the fact that I can't sell TMs anymore. This game got some awesome themes. I got rid of the little monkey. You DO realize you can catch them right??? A friend of mine has the water and fire monkey while using a snivy. Also you get used to the stupid looking pokemon pretty fast.

I was laughing my balls off when i saw a Tympole. I thought that was mos ridiculous thing ever!

Here's the part where I get karma-raped and say that I hate pokemon games.

Oh, and inb4 'tl;dr'

I have White, and I basicall think it's an improvement from the past games. The creators of Nintendo certainly put the graphics of the DS to the max with the cutscenes, battles, the Skyarrow Bridge and Castellia City. As for the characters, I like Cheren because he's a tough rival but still remains your friend. I also like him because he looks like Uryru Ishida, one of my favorite anime characters. N however is a creep. I never watched Death Note completely, so I don't know what Death the Kid means when N is like a Death Note crossover. The storyline also has a good twist ending, but I'm not going to spoil it. After I comleted the story, I was able to get something I'm proud of getting: a female Riolu. Here's my current party right now in the order in which I use them.

I hate that pokemon's cry. Put the volume all the way up, put the DS to your ear, prepare to get ear-raped.

I finally got all the way to the Elite Four (Who you don't have to fight in order) last night, and I ad to go back and grind.

Pokemon finally being a bit of a challenge= Shit was so cash.
But yeah, you think Tympole's cry is F'd up, listen to Serperior. Nightmare Fuel first few times I heard that. I am happy that TMs don't break, but I still can't find a mon that can learn False Swipe.

And I also see plasma as a cross between Christianity and PETA….

By the way, am I the only one that chose Snivy just because It's a meme?

There are a number of things that bug me too, but first:

I think I can explain that. The moving pokemon sprite in battle is a new thing. If you wanted it to have less visible pixels, you'd have to create a much higher-resolution sprite with multiple frames, which would take a hell of a lot of time, especially considering that would be for over 600 pokemon.

Things that bug me:

The lack of a motherfucking vs. seeker. WHYYYYYYYYYY?

No more poke apps. That shit was useful.

No berry-planting.

Unavailability of dream world function.

The slowness of the text when buying from poke marts.

A whole bunch of pokemon that you can't evolve with stones right away because they have moves to learn.

That it takes a shitload of arrow key presses to reach the run button in battles

Whenever I beat Bianca (fucking guilt trip, yo)

The fact that you can catch a lot of twice-evolved pokemon in the wild (it makes them feel less rare)

I wish I have my DS still. One day I opened it to my surprise that a big black blob covered the whole screen. Like a big black burn mark.

Also, I thought it was just lag the first time it happened, but the text in the PokéMart really is that slow. Annoying.

Don't care about Bianca, though. She insists on getting her ass handed to her, that's fine by me. It just means some extra EXP for my precious shiny Liepard (or anything I happen to be training).

As for the close-up sprite pixelation, that's in part because the DS' underpowered hardware doesn't allow for efficient high-res animated sprites and also because it wouldn't make sense to have two objects in focus at the same time. Think about it. Or better yet, try this: Focus on something far off, then, using your peripheral vision, look at something that's right next to your eyes. See how it's all blurry? That's the effect they were going for. Less 2D, more 3D.

Is it worth it?

Definitely. It's not without flaws, but a flawless game is a nonexistent game.

The elite four was a huge challenge for me the very first time I fought them (in yellow version). But maybe I just suck at this game.

I got the impression that N was kind of a puppet leader for Ghetsis.
He's not really a psycopath, either, just REALLY REALLY naive and slightly moronic.
Seriously, Plasma had one of the dumbest plans ever, until you find out Ghetsis's real plan (WORLD DOMINATION OMG SO ORIGINAL).
