It's probable been done before, but oh well, I'm looking for an argument. I've been annoyed by everybody saying that everything past genIII is uncreative, and while I will agree that SOME of the genIV/V Pokemen are a stretch, (COUGHCOUGH CHIMCHAR/MONFERNO/INFERNAPE COUGHHACK) they were already stretching it in the first gen. For example, Charizard looks like he just got taken out of Dragon Tales. Magnemite, Diglett, Koffing, and Doduo get extra heads, Voltorb flips over, Cubone gets a new helmet/skull, Grimer poses different and doesn't even change weight, and Ditto is, literally, everything else. I don't know about you, but I think that a 5 foot, 330 pound hog that wrestles, stands on it's hind legs, and grows a beard of fire is just as creative, if not MORE so, than a fire-breathing dragon.

Pokemon sucks anyway.

I like Abra best. Also, first gen kicks the ass of all other gens because although they aren't necessarily more original in design, they are much more original in concept.

I stopped paying attention to Pokemon after the second gen, but at least I can see some better creativity in the 5th generation compared to generation 2-4.

Now, if they made a Pokemon Strategy RPG, like Disgaea, THEN I'd play it more.

I agree with both Katie Starshine and Mentlegen Meow. Pokemon is stale and each gen is basically the same thing.

Same goes for lotsa games. Halo, Mario, almost all games do that. It's the same thing in every game except slightly different.

I find it sad how most large game seires are afraid to take leaps in new directions.

Well the story outline isn't the main focus of the games. It's simply for the appretiation of the artwork.
