I suddenly jolted from my slumber when I dreamt of an exploitable meme that we've all forgotten about: The Obama Posters.

I'm going to do research on this after I get some sleep. Feel free to dump in as much information about this proposed entry as you like. I'm off to bed.

Here's five links to get you guys started:

- Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama_%22HOPE%22_poster
- Rene Wanner's Poster Page: http://www.posterpage.ch/exhib/ex216oba/ex216oba.htm

Goodnight and have fun.

Should I be including the Obama Joker posters of Los Angeles when I make the entry…

… or should I only include this version?

So far, I can't find any other connection between the two. They were made by different people for different purposes. They were spread differently. One resulted a good thing, one resulted a bad thing. No connection. But, is it still relevant to add it in? It's still an Obama poster that became anonymously viral over the internet.

ED/æ/Encyclopædramatica has a large collection of Hope posters, all lulzy, these are the best /most meaning full but you sorta have to search for them, and wade through some shock pr0n.

Of course there are some Hope posters in ED, but I need a single page that talks about the Hope posters themselves in order for me to add in the link to the entry. If you can find it, kindly place here or in the comments in that entry so that I can fix it up. Thank you for the suggestion, anyways.

people forget that these posters all started when Shepard Fairey got his art style from communist propaganda posters. Take a look at Soviet, Chinese and North Korean posters and youll see where these posters came from. SF then combined an image of Andre The Giant with the prop art style to make the famous OBEY posters. The Obama poster is a variation of his OBEY posters.
