Not sure if this is a meme, but theres quite a few of these on Youtube, can anyone verify?

It's hard to pinpoint this meme.
You're correct that those videos were inspired by a YTMND fad.

The Break My Stride fad on YTMND was huge starting from 2006 onward, with over 626 instances, which are very diverse in form.

The song is Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder in 1983. It was a top 5 hit in 83 and remained popular through 84.

Then in 2004 it was covered by German pop group Blue Lagoon. This may have played some part in the popularity of the YTMND fad, although this is speculation.

Since the only thing that links these different elements together is usage of the song Break My Stride, it's difficult to track the popularity of the meme, because the Blue Lagoon cover far exceeds the popularity of the meme.
