Okay I saw a few images int he trending page involving this format:

>typical thing
>shot of what I assume to be an Ultraman firing a bean with the Caption "Japanizing beam"
>image showing a Moe anthropomorphized or anime version of the first image

An example being a dragon to Tohru of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Another example using the same anime involves Quetzalcoatl). As of this post an American derivative of this format popped up on the trending images (with Superman instead of an Ultraman, presumably for the pun or more likely the lasers, but I digress)

Point is i think there is a meme that we haven't documented yet.

EDIT: Holy shit these are the Ultraman tag's most recent images!

EDIT 2: NVM, it was just an KYM inside joke…[facepalm]

Maybe it's a KYM inside joke, but I'm pretty sure I saw it first outside of this site, and in spanish, which it's named "Rayo Japonizador".

The one that I saw was this image, which is the first thing that you can find when googling "Rayo Japonizador":

Looking into that image, I found it that it was made in a tweet in the 31st of January of this year (2017). What I find it curious is that this specific image isn't in the gallery (or I suck at searching).

However, it's the ONLY image that appears when looking for that word, which means it hasn't spread everywhere.

So, although it has a material to be a meme, unfortunately it isn't one (yet).

So, why all the sudden images of japanizing beams KYM?

My theory is that someone from here saw that image, said to himself "I can do it better in english", and uploaded it in the Dragon Maid's gallery, which gain traction in our community.
