I don't get how to place an image in a forum post/comment.

I keep trying the "img srt" method but it doesn't seem to work.

Here's the code. Just stick the url between two exclamation marks.
!imageurl.jpg!

Alternative to Madcat's method, all pics uploaded to KYM have a "textile embed" section. Copy that, then paste it into where you want to put it. Unlike the exclamation mark method, this method allows you to click the image. This will bring you to the image's page, where all the image's comments are.

Just put the exact url between exclamation marks without spaces
