As the title suggested.

One of my most frequent uses of the site is to simply click on the pony gallery link under "Today's Top Image Galleries" on the right hand side of the website to see the latest images. Now that the trending feature has been added you need to navigate one extra page to get to the latest contents; if I want to see what's trending I'd just go to the "Most Liked" images page anyway.

Honestly, I don't think this is a problem.
If you have a extremely slow Comp, it should be a reasonable suggestion.

I kinda dislike it too because I can't view "Most Commented" or "Most Disliked" (don't ask) and I'm stuck with Trending. It'd be nice to have those options back along with Trending, but it's really nothing to fight about which makes me agree with you there. I deny the fact I have to live with two options, All or Trending. I could view the regular images where it does have the options but I kinda miss it in the other entry galleries.

I hope it get fixed in the future because I like to view images without a care in the world and many options to go along with it.

You can click 'all' to access all that stuff.

I think the reason that the Trending tab is default is because you're accessing it from the "Trending Galleries" link. Since that is calculated by the number of comments and faves of images, it's natural to go directly to the Trending tab.

If you want to go straight to the All tab, just save the link as a bookmark in your browser, or go via the entry.

I would be in favour of making the "All" tab the default.
