Images disappear when I put up a NSFW box

Can anyone see this image in this thread? Well it disappears when I put it up in a NSFW box in comments and I can only see the image in my activity.

I've noticed this happening quite a bit in comments, including some of my own. Recently on a Splatoon image that made a Dead Space reference I posted a comment using the "MAKE US WHOLE" quote from the game with an image of the character Nicole, who tends to show up in Dead Space 2 looking all bloodied and spooky, so I NSFW'd the image. However when I go to check the comment, I can see the "MAKE US WHOLE" text but not the image of Nicole, so the reference I was making was slightly ruined.
