I got banned from Miiverse for the 11th fucking time, and oddly enough, it onky took me 3 warnings in under 24 hours. I don't know what to do about this, because I'm not making another NNID for a while(especially if SSB4 gets a June-July release), so if you are a Miiverse user who was abused by the Admins or just want to talk about how ignorant or amazing the people on Miiverse can be, sometimes, go right ahead.

PS, Miiverse Admins = 2strict4me.

Well, that wasn't a good start.
I've only had 1 post deleted for sharing my FC, but other than that, I've had no problem whatsoever with the admins. Of course, I am aware this network is widely used by children, so I minimize foul language.
Heck, my last post was a slight parody of Christianity, and I've had no problem.
Also, here's my page in case you're interested. I mostly post Animal Crossing stuff and drawings.

I mostly go to the Smash Bros community, but the thing is that while it's the most entertaining community, it's also the worst when it comes down to Administration. I remember my first few months on Miiverse, before the Smash community, and not a single one of my posts was taken down for over 10 months(even after I've started posting in the SSB community).

Ehh, you just have to be careful what you post and where you post it. Like Digoxin said, it's a site mostly made for children, so it's rather easy to offend someone and get an admin note. Heck, that's how I recently got banned, the reasoning for it seemed ludicrous at first, but once I simmered down and looked at the situation again I realized I let my more harsh opinions out where it may not have been warranted. I'd post a link to my page, but I'm banned…(3 days to go)

I post very rarely, and when I do, I make it as 4-year old friendly as possible. I appreciate Nintendo's effort to be kid-friendly, but they're also trying to attract hardcore audiences at the same time, and that doesn't just work. You can't suppress gamers on the internet no matter how hard you try. One of the reasons none of the other gamers want to buy the Wii U is because of its sorry excuse of an "online experience". None of their first-party games really even use online correctly. It's such a shame Nintendo won't step into the 21st century and actually use online gaming as an effective tool and not try to hinder it as much as possible. I thought the Wii U would step up its online from the Wii, which it did, but barely. I love Nintendo, but things like this still make me mad. I mean, why can't I challenge people online in Kirby Triple Deluxe instead of looking for someone else with a 3DS? Why can't I race online in Mario Kart 8? (I don't have it yet, but from what I've heard you can't.)

I really hope they'll step up in time for Smash Bros.

@StealthySpaceSam/ScienceSpider: The heck are you talking about? Mario Kart 8's online works just fine.

And I kinda wish Nintendo would have different rules for different communities based on the age ranking of the communities. But that's just me.

I hate having to keep everything I draw and type G rated to avoid the admins and/or overly sensitive 9 year olds.

Because the Admins are so strict, they will ocasionally report you for saying the words "never", "hi" "mod", etc.

I'm fairly certain Admins don't report you for that stuff. And if they do, then how the hell is that entire site not permabanned yet?

Chances are you got too familiar with the community. As you said, you had 10 months of nothing happening prior to this. Then you got familiar with Miiverse, grew an ego, and thought it would be ok to make slip ups with the community rules and guidelines because self-acclaimed oldfags are untouchable (#sarcasm).

Here we spot you giving their admins all the shit you can throw at them, and I can assume you probably never had issues with their admins prior to your first ban. You got reported/banned by them for legit reasons probably the first time, but afterwards felt mistreated and wanted redemption. And that's where the fun started. You wanted see how far you could push the line, and make jabs at the admins along the way.

How close am I?

In some cases he's not to far off. There are times like you stated where you get so accustomed that you slip up and get an admin note or two, but there are WAY to many instances where you'll get an admin who's having a bad day, and they decide to take it out on you. They'll usually start with the one comment/post that got reported, and for no real reason while they're still there, begin sifting through your past posts and comments removing things for the same reason as the initial report, but said posts usually don't even fall under the same category or situation. Sometimes it really is just as simple as you used a word that this particular admin didn't like for whatever reason. Once all's said and done you'll be lucky if they don't decide to ice the cake and throw in a 2 week ban on their way out. I'm not saying all the admins are like this, but those who are can be real jerks.

TL;DR
In some cases you're right, he, or those like him, get pissed and begin tempting the admins. Others, however, just slip up once and get chain admin notes for no real reason, which usually ends in a ban.

Well, I did make this thread aminly because I'm done going to that site, anyway, and now I've realised something about Miiverse. While I have been finding the Administrators getting at least a little bit more strict as the time goes(changing 20 Admin reports to 10), looking back on it, I've realised I HAVE shown some more unfair opinions, and since there are a lot of children on here, I can see why the posts have all been deleted. Like I've said on my last day on Miiverse, my most recent NNID would act as some kind of "goodbye", since I've been wanting to leave for a while. To be fair, Miiverse has actually been getting more boring as the time goes, with you only being able to post comments every 3 minutes, for example.

On one hand I agree with you and understand why you wanna leave, but on the other hand, by the 4th or 5th ban you should have realized what you were doing wrong and worked to stop doing that. Or just stop commenting on random people's (specifically kids) posts.

Like I said, I don't have Mario Kart 8 yet, so I didn't really know if it had online, but I heard nothing of it prior, so I guessed. Cool then! Looks like Nintendo is trying to be more online.

I've realised that the reason why I've been banned so many times is mainly because of my humor, and partiallly my opinons(that get me in to flame wars). My humor is very stupid, ironic, and "mature", all of which I got from the shitposters I hang out with. On Miiverse, Shitposters are usually accepted for their humor(for some reason). So by trying to come up with my own form of humor combined with shitposting, I have now been banned 11 times. But yes, the Admins do sometimes delete posts if it's just you saying "NEVER." in response to something, or drawing a very tiny version of the Smash Bros emblem on the Smash Bros Commuinty, but that only happens on occasions. I'm lucky I never got one perma(as far as I'm concerned, however.

Quick question for anyone who draws on Miiverse, do you shade your drawings? If so, could you give me some tips on it? Whenever I try to shade it's always hit or miss, and leaving it blank just feels lazy.

It depends on if you're going for a more pixel art-style shading or just lines that anyone can do. If it's the former, then I just use the most thin pencil and try to make patterns based on how dark or light I want the shades to be. If I make a mistake, then I'd carefully erase the mistake and continue drawing the pattern from there. If it's not the former, then I just use the thin pencil(again) and just scribble some lines based on how dark or light I want the tone of the shading to be.

I don't do pixel art, just normal drawings. For the most part I think I have it down, but whenever I finish it never really looks right. the shading lines usually always cut into the facial features or smaller details of whatever I'm drawing and makes it look sloppy. Do you know a way around that?

I use lines for shading too, but only a small amount. I follow Adam and he barely uses shading, yet his drawings look so perfect. He only uses outlines when necessary. It's just experience.

Thanks, Ill check that out when Miiverse let's me back on… I'm also looking forward to seeing how you draw!

I've already realised. And I may be the first Miiverse user to realised(seeing all the Admin haters 24/7).

With future Wii U games coming out that are starting to take more advantage of Miiverse, I have returned to Miiverse. However, I did not forget what I learned here, and I now try to keep everythi as safe as possible. Unfortunately, everyone else wants to declare war with the Administration in 6 days…

Huh?

It's just a bunch of whiny kids who are accusing the mods of abusing their power and they're basically going to spam all of the communities and report everything they see. I think it started when a kid got butthurt that his friend's post there was deleted and the friend was banned as well.

EDIT: So I just found out the instigator of this "war" was a kid named Prigley.

I also found an epic rap battle post on Miiverse based on this silly conflict. It's Pro-War vs Anti-War.

This is why I don't get on Miiverse.

As long as you follow people you know it's quite a fun concept. I've gotten quite some nice/fun comments on my random posts in communities, and I've seen some great artwork.
But I agree that there are quite some idiots and 10y/o whiners on there.

Well, the Miiverse war is starting in less than 24 hours, and everyone's making a big deal about it. It personally doesn't feel much different than your average Admin bash, aside from Admin haters nationwide participating in this shitstorm.

Baron O Beefdip wrote:

What the heck is this stupid "war" supposed to be anyways? They're already spamming the sections with pointless junk, is it just more of that?

I think they're just going to spam all of the communities and report everything they see.

I believe SmashBoar perfectly sums up this "war,"

"the whole point of this war is to stop people from getting wrongfully banned, and Miiverse plans to go about this war by…… wrongfully banning everyone….

how does this even…… how does this even work!?"

I guess this is what happens when you give a portion of admin powers to morally delusional preteens…

Okay, somehow this "war" managed to leak onto the Youtube Community. Then again, it's most likely the same group of people who came from the Smash Bros community.

All the other communities that I've seen are just talking and sharing their adventures. I don't remember seeing the "war" even mentioned outside the Smash Bros Community in the days leading up to it.

So there's this thing going around the Smash Bros community called "#MiiverseAfterDark" in which participating users make explicit Miiverse drawings and keep them in between the line of "work-safe porn" and "obviously porn". Surprisingly, most people have managed to get away with it(except the posts like "SUCK MY DICK" and uncensored porn drawings).

I'm about done with Miiverse, maybe I'll try that out and see how far I can go before I get banned/lose all my followers.
