Originated in the Gears of War 3 campaign, act 1 chapter 3. When Cole, Baird, Samantha and Carmine are looking for food, they try to negotiate with a strange stranded man that wont give them food because they are COG. When this man looks at Samantha, he tells them, "I will give you a side of bacon for here though…"
Seconds after, you can hear Carmine say, "oh, bacon…" Even though the game hasn't been released yet, parts of the campaign have been released. Carmine saying such a random line caught attention of viewers on Youtube, as most of comments on the video were about Carmine and Baird's desire for bacon.
Even though the video has only been on the internet for a short period of time, there is still a good amount of people that grew interest in the quote. There has been discussion about Carmine and his bacon quote on the Epic Games forum, including other funny lines that caught attention, the name of the thread being, "Ohh bacon" and other great lines! As of August 17, there has been a increase of talk about the quote in variations of, "mmm, bacon" and "ohh, bacon" on the Epic Games forum. On Gearspedia, Clay Carmine's features quote is, "Ohhh…bacon". One of the "Did you know…" facts on the wiki is "that Clayton Carmine loves bacon?"
