According to a Fox 2 St. Louis video[3] posted on YouTube, the incident occurred on March 8th, 2024, before 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Norgate Drive and Claudine Drive in Spanish Lake, Missouri. The news report (shown below) also mentions that one teen remained hospitalized and another was being held in St. Louis County Family Court, which amassed more than 22,000 views and 131 likes in five days.

Developments

On March 14th, 2024, news reports identified the hospitalized 15-year-old girl as Kaylee Gain, stating she suffered major brain bleeding and swelling.[4] The girl’s family has started a GoFundMe[5] campaign to pay for her medical needs and wrote that they were “shattered when their only daughter was assaulted outside of a North County high school” (shown below).

Kaylee's Recovery funds Hayden Gain está organizando essa campanha. Criada em há 3 dias Medicina Kaylee is a great cousin, an amazing sister to her siblings & many would say a great daughter to her parents. But on March 8th she was violently attacked and has unfortunately suffered traumatic brain injuries. When her parents found out they were shocked and devastated. When I found out I knew I had to do something and that's why I made this GoFundMe page. We the rest of the family and Kaylee's parents are wishing her the best. Every dollar donated will go towards Kaylee's care and help her recover. We are all hoping that Kaylee will be ok but until then we have a long road ahead until we know for sure. I am hoping I can help my cousin out of the hospital as soon as possible. Note from Kaylee's parents - we are deeply touched that Kaylee's cousin was moved to find a way to help the family during this crisis. We are so grateful for the amazing medical staff who have been working tirelessly to give her the best possible chance at a full recovery. We know she has a very long road ahead of her but we remain hopeful. We are so overwhelmed by all the support and love. Thank you!
