Some conservative users on the internet, like @Catturd, notably mistook Sam Seder as the "conservative" in the video, with other internet users expressing their confusion about why California conservatives look "alternative" or "hipster."

On March 9th, 2025, the YouTube^[1] channel Jubilee posted a video titled, "20 Trump Supporters Take on 1 Progressive (feat. Sam Seder) | Surrounded," gathering over 1.2 million views on a video in which The Majority Report with Sam Seder host debates young 20 conservative people.

Jubilee also posted sections of the debate to its TikTok^[2] channel, the most notable of which gathered over 1.6 million views and 150 likes in a day.

Some conservative internet users notably mistook Sam Seder for a Trump supporter as the video spread online, as seen in a tweet posted by X / Twitter user Catturd on March 9th, 2025, gathering over 2,000 likes in a day.^[3]

Also that day, X^[4] user @TishaAreoLadle was one of several other conservatives to mistake Sam for a Trump supporter, as seen in the (now deleted) tweets shown below.

On March 9th, 2025, Twitter / X^[5] user @xxtoffxx tweeted, "watching the sam seder vs MAGA jubilee video. I feel like something major has shifted here, and I can't get over it: why on earth do conservatives look like this now. dudes who look like this should be doing theater and making iced lattes not arguing in favor of fascism." The post gathered over 58,000 likes in a day.

Some conservative internet users defended Sarah Stock's position that America should be a white ethnostate, including X^[6] user @HarrisonHSmith who wrote, "White girl defends the existence of her culture from a rogues gallery of seething foreigners."

On March 10th, 2025, conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk reposted a clip of Sam Seder debating a Christian nationalist from the viral video, writing, "This dude just obliterated Sam Seder," and gathering over 3,000 likes in a day.^[7]
