Evpap Foreigner In The Sky is a series of TikTok video edits using TikToker Evpap's video of himself covering Pop Smoke's 2020 song "Foreigner."^[2] The edits typically feature Evpap performing in the sky or used in misheard lyric parodies. The trend became popular in early July after Evpap uploaded his cover in June which many TikTokers began to mock.

Origin

On June 24th, 2020, TikToker evpap uploaded a video of himself covering Pop Smoke's "Foreigner" and received over 2.7 million likes in a month (shown below).

Spread

On July 3rd, 2020, TikToker itzshiy uploaded a video in which he discovers evpap singing in the sky, adding the caption, "he so powerful" (shown below, left). The video gained over 627,900 likes in 11 days. On July 4th, TikToker aababyj uploaded another edit of evpap in the sky which accumulated over 735,800 likes in 10 days (shown below, center). On July 13th, jaimesoliz used Evpap's cover in a lyric parody video that acquired over 648,700 likes in a day (shown below, right). StayHipp published an article on the trend.^[1]
