BonbiBonkers is a cosplayer best known for creating short dubbed videos on the social media app TikTok dressed as various characters from anime, comics and video games. In October 2018, the various BonbiBonkers social media accounts were abandoned following an alleged doxing and harassment campaign.
History
In July 2017, the Bonbibonkers account was created on the app Musical.ly. In August 2018, Musical.ly was rebranded to TikTok. Over the course of the year, BonbiBonkers uploaded numerous videos cosplaying as various fictional characters while lip dubbing background audio tracks (shown below).
Harassment
On October 14th, 2018, BonbiBonkers broadcast a final livestream on TikTok expressing sadness and frustration with having to leave social media due to safety concerns (shown below).
The following day, YouTuber Lord Zoomer uploaded a video claiming that BonbiBonkers had been targeted by users on 4chan's /wsg/ board and users on the Russian 2ch board /fag/ in a doxing campaign, leading to the removal of the BonbiBonkers social media feeds (shown below). Additionally, the video highlighted clips of BonbiBonkers edited with footage of Ricardo Milos dancing. The following day, the /r/BonbiBonkers[3] subreddit was launched for discussions about the cosplayer.

4chan. That is why. And it was not even any of the usual boards that normally do this shit, but rather one that people never mention and promotes itself as "Worksafe GIF is 4chan's imageboard dedicated to sharing worksafe animated GIFs and WEBMs", a very innocuous purpose in theory.
Can we now maybe agree that the site as a whole is gradually turning bad and not just 2 or 3 boards..? Or do we need a few more harassment campaigns to finally admit it the way we do for Tumblr and Twitter..?
They themselves are already realizing this, so we might as well follow suit. I know it hurts to see a giant fall like this, but we cannot deny it forever when things like this keep happening.

Instead of just watching those cringe Tik Tok, maybe some users of certain sites decided to actually track some of these people to fuck with them. You know, standard narcissist being annoying stuff, /lolcow/, except now since the internet is so big and narcissistic, hordes of people do this now.

The sad truth is identity and humanity is stripped away when looking at them from the other end of a screen. This is especially true for victims of online harassment and suicide attempts. Trying to get a courtesy blanking for them is a losing battle since people only care about using them as ammunition against a "greater cause." Even if there's bigger demand for this article to be deleted, nobody on the KYM team is going to remove it because it's "relevant" and "helps to spread awareness." At least that's their excuse for banking on the clicks this topic generates.
