Fenter (or fentering) is a typo made by a poster on the 13'th of December, 2012 (10:52 GMT) on 4chan's random board, /b/. A poster started a thread telling how he fingered someone's mouth when he was 7.
He typed fenter instead of finger. By mistyping it, he derailed his own thread before it even started. The commenters began stating fentering now means anything sexual, like fingering.
A simple Google search for "Fenter" then came up with the image of Donald Fenter, a former chief architect of the Telford Development Corporation. People began captioning it, such as "In my time fentering was illegal".
A bunch of anons started to create spinoffs like captioning other images and placing the word fenter as many times as possible in the "What the fuck did you just say about me, you little bitch?" reaction text.
