Floor People refers to a series of TikTok videos that showcase people who prefer sitting on the ground to furniture.

On July 28th, 2020, TikToker @machosacho shared the video in which they describe types of people, such as "car guys," horse girls" and "Disney adults," but says that people ignore "floor people." The narrator says, "Floor people are the people who you offer a chair to or a nice place to sit, comfy couch, and they refuse. They just sit on the floor."

Following the post, people began sharing videos of people in their lives who prefer to sit on the ground. For example, on October 18th, 2020, TIkToker @shellanndaviss shared a video of a friend lying on the ground as the narration from the @machosacho video played on the soundtrack. The video received more than 3 million views, 681,000 reactions and 8,700 comments in less than three months (shown below, left).

The following day, TikToker @kelseygilmoree posted a variation that received more than 2.5 million views, 346,000 reactions and 4,300 comments in less than four months (shown below, right).
