He/She/They Should Be at the Club is a stock phrase used to make fun of the cliche that people in their 20s usually go out to clubs instead of staying home, usually with the ages of fictional characters.
Origin
On December 16, 2022 Twitter user @hijennieblair posted a tweet about Mama Bear from The Berenstain Bears stating "Mama Bear is 27 YEARS OLD" @MattTheBrand replied saying "she should be at the club"[1]
Spread
The phrase remained stagnant on the internet until Tumblr user greelin made a post about the original tweet on October 19th, 2023 saying “she should be at the club” changed me as a person. forever getting over 59,000 notes as March 14th, 2024 [2]
This led to other examples of characters who "should be at the club" such as The 2nd Doctor from Doctor Who [3]
