The phrase caught on over the next few days as a copypasta and catchphrase, particularly on Twitter and Instagram, where users applied it to various images. For example, on June 23rd, Instagram[2] user @cyrus.snake posted an image of Patrick Bateman from the American Psycho film shaking hands with a man, garnering over 2,400 likes in five days (shown below). The image was reposted a number of times across social media, notably by Instagram[3] user @new.incognito.tab on June 24th and Twitter[4] user @paddingtonrocks on June 25th, garnering over 45,000 likes on the former and 15,000 likes and 1,000 retweets on the latter in around four days.

On June 26th, Twitter[5][6] users @roun_sa_ville and @SAMOYEDCORE posted tweets using the phrase, garnering over 2,800 likes and 3,300 likes respectively in two days (shown below).
