PSA: Please do not force your dinosaurs to t-pose
![Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog For 3D models, it is standard to make its default pose, or "T-pose", stand up straight. In the case of the Noshi dinosaur from Mario Kart: Double Dash, who always bends down, its T-pose forcefully mutilates its neck just to get it to stand up straight. Noshis are dinosaurs found in the Dino Dino Jungle track of Mario Kart: Double Dash. In-game, their necks are always bent. To create the Noshi's T-pose, it was made to stand up straight, as is standard. It looks normal from the front... ...but seeing it from the side reveals that its neck, made to be bent down, was forcefully pushed into the upright position, flattening it. Below is a diagram of how the T-pose is modified in-game (by moving five control points, or "bones") to create the actual pose used in gameplay. ource: @Peardian, models-resource.com/gamecube/mariokartdoubledash/model/74344/](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/934/633/43c.png)

Feelings
![*Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog In Mario Kart: Double Dash, racers were supposed to have feelings. A mysterious unfinished "Feeling Manager" would assign feelings to them during the race, though the ultimate intended purpose of this functionality is unknown. Mario Kart: Double Dash contains a mysterious unused and unfinished feature called Feeling. (also referred to as driver feeling and feel) When it is turned on, an object known as the Feeling Manager will display icons above the heads of the racers. This screenshot shows Mario and Luigi displaying the Default Feeling icon. The Default Feeling, possibly originally intended for racers after the kart has been damaged. The Teetering Feeling. When a racer teeters on a ledge once, that racer will have the Teetering Feeling for the rest of the race. A mysterious Feeling that is never called by the code, so its purpose is unknown. It is highly likely that this functionality was abandoned in an early state, before much of it could have been programmed. It is possible that more different Feelings were planned that would have indicated other states of the racers. ource: tcrf.net/Mario Kart Double Dash!!/Unused_Modes %26 Features; Supper Mario Broth, screenshots taken in a GC emulator, game: Mario Kart: Double Dash (NA, GC)](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/901/096/ce2.png)

Unnessesaly grass
![Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog Development files reveal that Super Mario Kart used to contain "Grass That Doesn't Slow You Down", which defeats the entire purpose of offroad grass in a racing game. The developers clearly had a low opinion of it, calling it "unnessesaly" [sic] in the code before removing it. Development files for Super Mario Kart dated less than a year before release include a tile that uses the grass graphic, but has road physics; in other words, it is "Grass That Doesn't Slow You Down". As the entire point of the distinction between grass and road is to encourage driving on the road by making grass slow karts down, this tile was seemingly held by the developers in low regard. November 1991 Donut Plains tileset August 1992 (final) Donut Plains tileset ++ <<<<<unnessesaly The above comment, a misspelling of "unnecessary", is attached to that tile (circled in red) in the code. The "unnecessary" tile has been removed and the tileset now extremely neatly fits into a 16x8 tile rectangle. ource: tcrf.net net user "MrL314" / @LF_MrL314; tcrf.net/Development:Super Mario Kart/November 29, 1991_Proto](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/897/476/578.png)
