Dude just released an RE4 video where he literally titled it “Soul vs soulless” and look it’s fine if someone prefers the original, but I feel him calling the remake “soulless” shows the dude has his nostalgia goggles on way too tight. A lot of the comments on the video also read like it seems 99% of his audience are /v/ anons who fit the “I hate everything new” stereotype. At the very least I know the dude who replied to my comment on the video (where I said “sorry but I’ve gotta disagree with you this time dude, calling the remake soulless is too much”) absolutely is because his comment responding to me was written in green text format and the dude also tried to say “people who think new = better are ruining gaming” even though that’s NOT what I said (I replied to the dude saying I’m over 30 and don’t give a shit if a game is new or old, what matters is the player enjoys it, and frankly I’m sick of people policing what games people “can and cannot like”).

I think his issues with REmake4 are completely understandable and there's nothing wrong with preferring the original game. But calling the remake outright souless is a massive exaggeration. I feel like he wouldn't have gotten nearly as much pushback if he was less hyperbolic in the tittle.
