Scammer Robbie is a meme, generated by the Import Car community, that centralizes around a particular person, Robbie Sharp, centralizing around scamming, stealing, or lying to people. Recently it also has become based on puns about going to jail over such behaviors

Orgin

In 2009, on several car forums, several users began to post up about a particular user who had "scammed" them on used parts sold online. One of the earliest incidence was was on D-series.org (http://www.d-series.org/forums/serious-discussion-debate/118845-beware-scammer-alert-robbie-sharp-aka-watisjdm-2-yo.html) where JDM_JNKY claims that he purchased a part from Robbie, and Robbie failed to send the part. This situation fast spread, and a user located close, VegaS10, went to Robbie's home, collected the part, and shipped it himself. Robbie then started to work at a local performance shop, where the owners passed up the indecent as an error he made in his youth, and wanted to help him gain a new reputation. The backlash of this did not calm down on a forum called CarolinaHondas were the original memegenerator was first posted. In 2010, Robbie sold a header he had for a car, but said header was lent to him by a local person in the car community. Robbie felt the header now belonged to him as he had it for some time, and refused to give the money for the sold goods to the original owner for the part. This caused several flamewars, including a few on Carolinahondas.com

Robbie began to be a punchline on the forums, being equated to the Meme Scumbag Steve.

In 2011, Robbie was arrested for embezzlement from the local shop he was working at.
