History

The animated series "Un Mundo Sin…" was conceived by Argentinian scriptwriter and producer Matias Sinay and animator and voice actor Pérez Silva in 2019.[1] The animated series explores the idea of how the world would look like if a certain common thing did not exist.

On August 30th, 2019, the first episode of the series, "Un Mundo Sin… Bolsillos" ("A World Without… Pockets") premiered on Pérez's YouTube[2] channel Picho Brazo Animaciones, where it garnered over 489,000 views in five years (shown below), and on Yorokobu's Instagram[3] account.

From September 3rd, 2019, until the launch of the official YouTube channel for the series, the episodes appeared on the Yorokobu YouTube channel, with the reupload[4] of the first episode garnering over 7 million views in five years.

On February 21st, 2021, the official YouTube[4] channel for the series, Naisekai, was launched, uploading the full first season on the same day. The compilation video (shown below) garnered over 17 million views on YouTube[5] in four years.

The YouTube channel garnered over 1.7 million followers in four years. The official TikTok[7] channel, launched on December 8th, 2021, garnered over 840,000 followers in three years.

On July 14th, 2023, a dedicated English YouTube channel A World Without was launched, posting English translations of the episodes. On that day, the channel posted the translated version of the first episode, which accumulated over 100,000 views on YouTube[6] in one year (shown below).

On January 11th, 2023, Rolling Stone en Español[8] published an interview with the creators of the series.
