Officially named the Dual Rose G-Spot Vibrator, the curved sex toy with two appendages ending with mouths and tongues of different sizes, became a subject of jokes and memes in which it was imagined to be sentient.

Origin

On October 24th, 2024, X^[1] account for online sex shop Oronova posted a GIF of a vibrating sex toy with two appendages, each one ending with a mouth with a moving tongue part sticking out of it. The post (shown below) garnered over 7,600 reposts and quote posts and 3,200 likes in 10 days.

On October 26th, X^[2] user @goromya quoted the post with the caption, "what the fuck is this," commenting, "Why does it have to look so fucked up. Why does it look sentient," in a follow-up post.^[3] The post (shown below) garnered over 14,000 reposts and 292,000 likes in one week.

Spread

The viral spread of the post was followed by multiple users making jokes about the toy, making comparisons to a human fetus or a homunculus. For example, on October 26th, 2024, X^[4] user @Cheesymanfredo captioned the post, "My homunculus shaking in excitement unaware I’m going to squash it to death." The post (shown below) received over 790 reposts and 10,000 likes in one week.

On October 27th, X^[5] user @Murdoink posted a Starcraft edit, replacing the Mutalisk unit with the toy. The post (shown below) received over 60 reposts and 470 likes in one week.

On October 29th, 2024, X^[6] user @CallMeSYO posted a photograph of the toy in her hand, writing, "I DON’T KNOW IF I AM READY 😭🙄 I’ll update y’all later…" On October 30th, X^[7] user @mirkonation quoted the post, writing, "no tweets in the last 24 hours. it killed her."
