About
Horse Electrolytes refers to a supplement product comprised of a red bucket of powdered horse electrolytes called Apple-A-Day Electrolyte by Finish Line Horse Products. The sugar-free horse electrolytes went viral on Twitter / X in September 2024 after X user @pigshitsonballs posted a picture of a bucket, saying that he bought it at a Tractor Supply Co. and was using it to replace Gatorade in his daily routine. In the following weeks, internet users on TikTok and Reddit, among other platforms, posted jokes about the horse electrolytes and debated if it was safe for human consumption. Some even tried the product themselves. Alternative horse electrolyte products include Apple Elite Electrolyte, which is a paste instead of a powder.
