Tizinia Cantone was a 31-year-old Italian Instagram model who was found dead in late September 2016 after a sex tape she sent to an ex-boyfriend widely circulated on the Italian web.

Background

According to an article on BuzzFeed,[2] Cantone sent her ex-boyfriend a video clip of herself performing fellatio on another man in the spring of 2015. In the video, Cantone can be heard saying "You're making a video? Bravo." The video subsequently began circulating online via WhatsApp and social media platforms, where many mocked Cantone with photoshops and image macros (shown below).

After the video began circulating, Cantone quit her job and moved in with her parents in Mugnano, Italy. On September 13th, 2016, Cantone's aunt discovered Cantone had hung herself to death in the family's home.

In this order:

- Sends ex-boyfriend a sex tape expecting some kind of revenge.

- Video is online and viral now.

- It impairs her job and cripples her social life.

- Dealing with the consequences of her actions like an adult..? Too mainstream.

While I do not condone people having made the whole thing viral and whatever bullying she may have received on social networks, suicide was a cowardly choice, so I cannot really feel bad for her when she brought it all upon herself, and for a very childish reason, to boot.

100% her responsibility; she should have dealt with it like a mature adult instead. She was a jerk to her ex (who may or may not be a jerk himself, who knows) – expect others to treat you like a jerk online. Fair trade. Suicide over that prospect is very, very stupid and exaggerated.
