About

"Why are there Children playing on the Road?" is what the streamer EvilEtho said in one of his livestreams, followed by an annoyed "God damn…" after driving over some bumps and shaking his body in an exaggerated, tired manner. In a lot of cases, the clip was cut from 20 to 7 seconds, so you don't hear him say "Kids these days. Am I right?" as he looks into the camera.

Identity and Origin

"EvilEtho" is a truck driver from the US state California. He livestreams his trips on Twitch and talks to his community. The clip was created by Twitch user georgiaWHITEboy on 15. December 2018 – it reached 175.506 views[1] on the platform.

Spread

After its creation on Twitch the Clip was then uploaded to YouTube two days after its conception by user Chronoboost – its video and audio were distorted for additional comedic effect.
It gained more traction after user darkz_lol shared the clip to TikTok at the beginning of February 2020. They have since deleted the tiktok from their account, but user mrtiktoker uploaded it to YouTube on the 5th, having gained short of 4.000 views[1].
Several channels reposted it from end of March to end of April, all amounting to little views – it then made its way to Twitter, where a cropped and shortened version of it was shared by @WeirdestMp4s, where it received ~10.500 likes and got retweeted 2.075 times[1].
