Throughout the early Summer of 2021, many alternations of these memes have been made with certain parts blacked out, rearranged, or made into a completely new image. The first popular parody of this phrase came from u/900xAndy on Reddit posting a meme on r/ComedyNecrophilia that reads "you jerk off to pornography. i jerk off to big chungus cereal. we are not the same." Instagram user littlestbabie posted another version of this meme with "i jerk off to ideas like feeling loved and valued and supported." On r/AskOuija, u/MrBellumgeist posted with the comments filling in the blank in the text as "You Jerk off to Pornography. I jerk off to DND. We are not the same." Voiceover_shill on Instagram also furthered the popularity of this meme by adding his impression of The Joker behind the text. "Later on r/MillionaireGrindset u/investmentinanimehentai posted the original text over a new image. On r/shitposting, u/Abigpizzapie337 changed it to read you jerk off to pornography. i jerk off to abstract ideas like pornography. These have continued popularity in shitposting circles on both Instagram and Reddit.
