Last night, just before midnight EST, Kanye West had the listening party concert experience for his upcoming album Donda 2, a shockingly short time after his most recent album, Donda, dropped in late August last year. The event was jam-packed with celebrity cameos before and during the show, with noted celebrities such as Elon Musk, Marilyn Manson and bizarre audio samples from Kamala Harris, and Kim Kardashian also making appearances.

While this event was highly anticipated, much of the online discourse today seems to revolve around how awkward some of the performances, sound and other elements were during the livestream event, leading to a slew of memes and reactions online.

One of the biggest themes of the night that kept getting talked about online was the sound quality. Though the reasoning is unknown at his time, most people purport that the sound engineers working the event were subpar, and at times completely messed the music up to where it wasn't recognizable to many, making the experience and livestream less than expected.

This also spawned a lot of memes of Pete Davidson being the one behind the sound troubles, or of Kanye firing the sound engineers after the show.

Other big moments that spurned discussion online included when Marilyn Manson came out for a song, as he is still facing several allegations and legal troubles of his own currently, as well as a verse in which Morgan Freeman has his name rhymed with "semen," which some expressed was disrespectful or plain weird.

One thing that wasn't disrespectful was Kanye having late Florida rapper XXXTentacion featured on two tracks, with a direct shoutout to his son Gekyume happening at one point as well.
