Lasting over nine years on YouTube, the animated series that raised a generation of Gen Z memers and inspired multiple memes, Yo Mama had come to an end – or so the creator Zach James wanted us to believe when he teased the epic "The Final Joke" finale. The nine-minute video set a new bar for Yo Mama, but the saga of Brody Foxx won't be ending here for good, with him and other characters moving onto a new "thing."

The epic nine-minute-long finale that premiered on October 31st is filled with nostalgia, drama, anime and, of course, "yo mama" jokes from Brody Foxx and the gang. The episode was preceded by five short connected minisodes that set the ground for the events were to unfold, as well as a very dramatic date reveal trailer that you can watch below.

Yo Mama creator Zach James has been teasing the final episode since June 2020.

The nine-minute episode titled "The Final Joke" certainly didn't disappoint with its inventiveness, over two minutes of stylish anime sequence and an actual 'Yo Mama' opening song performed in Japanese. Which totally could have gone "Oshiete yo, oshiete yo mama," but thankfully didn't.

The episode contained many references and just as many details, and some fans took to theorizing the meaning behind it. Zach James soon admitted that there will be continuation in one form or another.

It looks that we haven't seen the last of the Yo Mama cast yet. Like so Brody can see!
