there is a solid line between an otherkin and furries.

Furries create "fursonas" (persona and Furry) to interact with other furries and on the internet. It is more of a personalized avatar.

Otherkin believe they are animals, objects, mythical creatures, binary star systems, trapped in human bodies.

Sometimes they overlap a little but I'd say most furries do not believe they are animals trapped in human form.
