Splatoon - Japanese Splatfest confirmed: BOKE vs TSUKKOMI

So we finally got the Callie vs. Marie Splatfest we all wanted!

Basically the routine Callie and Marie are doing. More or less Manzai.

Boke, on the left is the more idiotic side (or alternatively, the wise guy side), that sets up the jokes by getting things completely wrong. Tsukkomi, the right side is more or less the straight man that corrects the misconceptions made by the Boke guy. All these lines would lead up to the Boke guy doing something so stupid, that it makes the Tsukkomi snap, and then slap the Boke out of frustration.

The Squid Sisters' routine is a sort of downplayed version of that (mostly because Marie never slaps Callie), but the connections are there.

We as the overseas audience don't really understand the Manzai routine as much as Japan does, and it's really hard to translate all the jokes correctly. Which is why we know Marie more of her sass. This is also the reason why we didn't get the Manzai Birds endless game in Rhythm Heaven Fever: the jokes are too hard to translate in a way the overseas audience gets it.
