It would surely be edgier because the ratio of good guys to bad guys is greatly pending to good guys (not that it matters a thing, as the recent episodes showed), so in a moral swap AU there would be way more bad guys than good in the beginning.

I can imagine it working in some sort of dystopic setting – Supreme Commander Ozpin rules Vale with an iron fist and conscripts potential elite indoctrinated soldiers into the Academy, and Salem, like Zordon, recruits a group of teens with attitude (plus Roman) and the White Fang would be actually heroic rebels, desperate for a miracle.
