Maybe people would stop complaining if, oh I dunno, writers and animators did their jobs. We live in an era where western cartoons like Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, Gravity Falls, Futurama (before the seasonal rot), Adventure Time (before the seasonal rot), and others have set the bar. And that is of course not counting amazing classics like Samurai Jack, Batman: TAS, Justice League Unlimited, Avatar: TLA and so on.
When we get shows like Breadwinners, Powerpuff Girls (reboot), and TTG which are just regurgitated scrapings, do you expect us to just sit there and like it?
How fucking dare you imply that this was what I demanded? I never asked for a new Powerpuff Girls. I was fine with the old stuff. There was plenty of it, and it didn't need to be dredged up. How dare you imply that I somehow "deserved" this, for wanting television that's actually good, and not the hollowed-out remains of a marketable property? How dare you blame the fans, who have loved this franchise and continued loving it for nigh-on nineteen years, for being angry at a show that, from the outset, insults every tenet of it? How dare you cite "pressure" on the creators, who, having been given the keys to the kingdom, produced absolute slop and were proud of it?
You shut the fuck up. The people who are complaining about PPG? They're offering critique and criticism. They think it can be good. They want it to be good. They want their voices clear as to what they think is bad, so that maybe the show can be improved – or, if it can't be improved, that the network can stop giving the absolute hacks who manage it any kind of power. You, on the other hand, are whining that people have an opinion.
