(after the s----- recaps of the movies) Good Guys Incredibly entertaining, likable and well-written cast, one of the most complex villains turned hero-characters in shonen with Vegeta and M------------ SON GOKU A samurai who loves to ruin his teeth, a beta-male cook who'd rather let a woman kill him than hit her Pinocchio except more useless, Wario plus t--- but minus likability, Rudolph the blue-nosed Who-gives-a- s---, a corpse, Rule 63 Michael Jackson, cyborg- Popeye (the only good one) and a s----- Son Goku- ripoff Bad Guys A bunch of lame, useless c---- including, but not limited to: A vastly overrated crocodile-furry with a hook who likes to dispose of people in desert toilets; rich people; a geriatric racist shark; an incredibly The fat, incredibly entertaining God of Destruction from another universe and his hot attendant who is even stronger than he is, an evil entity masquerading as Son Goku that sees the existence of humans as a mistake of the Gods and wishes to rectify it and which seems to get stronger with every fight amboyant p-------- in a flamingo-coat and sunglasses that is mad because his parents left the government's Kool Kids Klub; Eminem; Satan with diarrhea; and some japanese actors. Animation After the aforementioned s----- recaps actually pretty great. "What do you mean it takes Fujitora three minutes in real time with almost no movement to defeat some nameless thugs in one stroke?!" Writing Has both a lot of funny moments and great serious scenes; fights actually involve strategy rather than just powering up more than the other guy; worldbuilding is great and entertaining; story is well-paced and actually goes somewhere Jokes are mostly horribly unfunny and serious scenes sometimes end up unintentionally hilarious (Ace's death); fights always end with Luffy pulling some new, previously unknown and nonsensical b------- powerup out of his ass and curb-stomping the arc villain; worldbuilding is great if you love pointless details as much as TV Tropes but makes no goddamn sense; story hasn't gone anywhere except up Oda's ass for a long time. Also, what the f--- is pacing? Current Arc Interesting and logically sound story about timetravel with several equally good B-plots, including one leading up to a multiverse-level tournament (which is promising because the previous tournament arc in this show is the only good one in all of shonen). Also, Goku gets to meet God and it is amazing Features several tea parties with philosophical discussions about the nature of good, evil and justice. Ungodly boring and s----- Alice in Wonderland knockoff featuring the most disappointing member of the Four Emperors since my son. Sanji's puppy-kicking family reveals itself and could not be more one-dimensional villains even if they were literal cardboard-cutouts. Apparently being able to grow multiple arms while unironically using a cookie as a shield is worthy of the second-highest bounty in the entire series. Plot twists that even Fujitora could see coming from a mile away. On the positive side, there's a shark mermaid that's kinda hot. Tries it's hardest to ruin the entire concept of tea parties forever.
