God this thing is so cool. I’m so happy to be excited for Nintendo again. And I'm very happy they're still gonna sell physical games for it so people can still trade and sell used. They could have easily made this digital only

…and I can imagine this would work great with peripherals.

Think about it: the controllers are modular. So you just have to create extensions, or plug in things that just highjack the mini controller for button commands while you are using a light gun/guitar/sword/ etc.
