Google Trends search result of "post-truth", with the time span of 2 years, leading up to right before the Oxford Word of the Year nomination (which is what the big spike resulted from--people who didn't know what "post-truth" is rushing to look up what "post-truth" is). And you can clearly see, there is a marked increase in usage of "post-truth" this year compared to last year, especially from around June.
