Finally. We need to bring back the term "tourneyfag." I mean, casual players are mocked all the time by competitive players as being "filthy casuals." Who's to say we can't come up with our own label to fight back against theirs?
In my experience, it's usually casual players who more often try to shame competitive players for how they choose to play the game rather than the other way around, (like this post for example,) though I would be lying if I said I hadn't seen any of the inverse. It really bothers me that people can't just choose to play competitively or casually or both without putting down people who choose to play differently.
P.S. I know this is semantics, but Final Destination/Omega Stages only is a casual players' misinterpretation of how competitive players choose stages. Of the legal stages, Final Destination is considered to be more of a polarizing one due to lack of platforms, meaning it tends to favor certain characters more dramatically than other stages. As a result, you're more likely to see Smashville or Battlefield used as a neutral stage instead, and Final Destination is usually reserved for counterpicks.
