Daily reminder OOT Link had the absolute worst life.
- Abandoned in the forest by his dying mother to be raised by the Great Deku Tree
- Bullied by most of the Kokiris (especially that asshat Mido) for not having a fairy
- Tries to save what amounts to his one parental figure, the Deku Tree, but is too late and has to watch it die
- Of course, gets blamed for the Great Deku Tree's death
- Goes to risk his life trying to save the world while still a kid
- It goes wrong and he loses seven years of his life, effectively becoming a child in an adult's body
- Once he finally manages to save the world, and after barely enough time to get used to is new body, gets sent back in time and turned back into a child
- All he's done to help people thus far is basically erased, now he's just some random kid to most everyone he met before
- Can't really go back to live with the Kokiris since he'll eventually grow up
- Loses one of his only real friends, Navi
- Majoras_mask.mp4
- Once again, gets put through extremely stressful ordeals to save the day, only to go back to being a stranger to everyone he helped in the end
- Presumably dies full of regrets

- Becomes a spirit unable to move on until a worthy successor shows up (which he does eventually find in Twilight Princess's Link)
Kinda makes you wonder if sending him back to his past was a good thing. He was probably miserable later in his life, being forgotten, while in the timeline he left, he was regarded as a great hero.
The worst part about that list is that he literally has no where to call home anymore, now that he knows the truth about the Kokiri Forest. What childhood is there to go back to after all he's been through?
