Fun fact: Ben and Gwen were originally going to be classmates. Creators realized they couldn't really come up with a good justification for classmates spending the entire summer on a road trip together, so they were changed to cousins. However they forgot to remove all that original sexual tension, leading to the weirdness of it all.
