This is why Super Mario Odyssey is fucking ?. It finally does something new and original with the Mario platformer franchise, while also showing that Nintendo hasn't forgotten about the spirit and charm of the original Super Mario series and some of the lesser-known/more obscure aspects of Mario's history. These are all things that it almost seems like the last five or so games of the mainstream Mario series, as well as everything in the 'New' series after the first NSMB, were trying to avoid.
