I remember once suffering a minor accident which, for some reason, briefly left me feeling my arm as if it was not part of my body, as if I was just a one-armed person holding a still warm arm that moves on my command but that I had no tactile feedback from it, so it felt like another person.

While I waited for check up I enjoyed pretending I was holding hands with someone else for as long as the effect persisted.
