XYZ arguably had some of the best animation in the series, but that isn't as important as it's quality. I mostly liked XYZ as it felt like the first season that actually tried to do something new.

Sun and Moon's artstyle may throw some people off, and I don't necessarily blame them, but it's doing something new, both in its animation and storytelling.

What i'm trying to say is that they're both great, and there's no reason to hate on their fans.
