You Have To Eat All The Eggs is an exploitable image taken from a thread on 4chan's /v/ board. Since originating in mid-2012, it's been used as a redraw format where people replace the original scene with various characters, as well as a running gag on 4chan's message boards.

Origin

The thread originated on 4chan's /v/ board on August 6th, 2012.^[1] The thread starts off with a picture of a woman passed out on a park bench with the following greentext.

An anonymous poster responded minutes later with the following reply:

>Help her up and carry her disoriented body to my place.
>Let her sleep on my bed as I sleep on the couch
>Deal with her freak out when she wakes up.
>Ask her if she's ok.
>"You don't have to tell me what happened, but you do have to eat this." as I hand her a bowl of eggs.
>Ask if she needs a ride home.
>Tell her to take care.

This comment led to several replies in the thread, one of which was a crude sketch of the scene (shown below) that became the source of redraws in the future.

Spread

Over the following years, the sketch of the scene inspired numerous redraws featuring characters from various pieces of media, such as Pearl from Steven Universe (shown below, left), Rainbow Dash ^[2] (shown below, center) and Gardevoir ^[3] (shown below, right).

The meme continued to see variations across social media into the 2020s. For example, a variation featuring Fate/Grand Order characters appeared on Reddit's /r/grandorder^[4] on August 24th, 2020 (shown below, left). A variation with My Little Pony characters was posted to Twitter by @TJPones^[5] on July 1st, 2020 (shown below, right).
