While y'all were taking notice of those two facts, I noticed that according to the source of the info (thanks spacehouse) Jasmine also promotes skin care, fades scars and prevents infections.

Maybe she uses it because she's a cutter trying to cover her tracks and hide the scars (skin care, fades scars) and not get injured in the process (prevents infections) instead?

So in short, Jasmine would be an incredibly in-character thing for Yuri to use.
