Roll Safe - People can't complain about a bad remake if you never release it

FF7 Remake is a lose-lose situation. Either they don't release it and people get butthurt for backtracking on a promise, or they release it and no matter how pants-wettingly impressive it is, people still won't like it because abitrary nitpick. I think that's why Valve just quietly shoved HL3 under the rug, they'd rather put up with the ribbing for eternity than releasing anything that will inevitably fail to impress.

Complaining about games that people have not played for one reason or the other is pretty much an international sport in the gaming community by now. The "it doesn't even exist yet" barrier has not stopped many people so far.
