Okay, time to nerd out, even if it's "racist", "anti-Semitic" and worst of all "uncool":
JKR stated in July 2015 that Hogwarts is tuition-free, but since she has often plainly contradicted established lore in interviews in recent years, I'd take that with a ton of salt. She wrote in the same comment that the Ministry of Magic covers the cost of all magical education, which is clearly not the case.

As for the books, I don't remember them mentioning that there is a *tuition*. When Hagrid tells Harry that his parents left him money, he might have been referring to his ability to pay for school supplies. Dumbledore tells young Tom Riddle that there is a fund at Hogwarts for
those who require assistance to buy books and robes, but again no mention of having to pay for the school itself.

So my conclusion is that while you have to pay for the things you wear, read and use, you are not charged for your attendance.

In addition to the "Let them eat Cake" mentality, the claim remains questionable.

"Of course, it is not astounding that the former E! Channel, former Netflix and apparently future NBC talk show host has armed security guards who don’t kill children, but the notion that they don’t carry handguns that discharge spent cartridges and load a round of ammunition automatically on each trigger pull is dumbfounding and impossible to believe.

Either Handler has employed armed security personnel who employ questionable defensive tactics or Ms. Handler, an outspoken proponent of gun control laws, doesn’t have a fundamental understanding of the weapons she advocates to regulate.

This squares with a recent poll that suggests that a majority (63%) of Americans want to ban semi-automatic weapons. However, there are two problems with the much-ballyhooed poll.

The first problem is the question. Registered voters were asked if they “banning the sale and ownership of all semi-automatic and automatic firearms.” Of course, automatic weapons are already illegal in most cases and lumping them in with semi-automatic is quite problematic if ones goal is to really understand if the American people favor such a drastic gun control measure.

And the second problem is that the poll never properly defines what a semi-automatic weapon is. And as is proven by Ms. Handler’s remarkable statement about her security guards, most Americans (including media figures) have a lamentable lack of fundamental understanding of the very thing they passionately want to restrict."

Decided to count all my knives for yucks. Total count: 33 knives, including 14 steak, 7 butter, 2 bread, 2 pocket, 2 decorative, 1 hunting, 1 box, and 4 misc. kitchen cutlery. Honorable mentions for the 2 sets of shears, the salad chopper, and the pizza wheel.
