I don't think either side cares that they look 100% ridiculous to the other. No one is trying to change minds, because no one would admit their side was wrong no matter what anyone said. We're just gonna have to ride this out and hope (against the odds) at some point politics shifts into a more mature direction. I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge these folks, at least half of these guys definitely have enemy stands.
