I want to add that Donald Trump made his fortune on real estate in New York city, meaning that if your goal is to do something about the rapid inflation of the real estate market then Trump represents the final boss level. Suppose dems to get both houses and try to make a law that helps home buyers, Trump is the absolute worst person in the world to be President. So yes, going after Trump is in fact quite necessary to pursue all of the Democratic Party's goals.
