Except that neither the Twitter announcement nor the blog update itself mention the meme at any point whatsoever. They used this as their example:

Which is very obviously referring to Muslims and women respectively, thus making it an obvious and biased identity politics statement, that much is evident, but there is no proof of this being about the NPC Wojak meme, instead probably being more about regular Twitter arguments and the less-than-optimal approach they have adopted for years now, which has been a thing since much before this meme existed. No mention of a "meme ban" was made anywhere.

Likewise, the Silicon Valley mention on this tweet was gratuituous: not a single mention of them is made anywhere, and no recent new developments happened that would hint at them being involved in this in any special measure. He just picked a random blue state and rolled with it.

So much for fighting manufactured outrage, huh. But off I go with my NPC blabbers, I suppose.
