People complaining about She-Ra not being hot reminds me when internet forums did the same for StarFire’s animated form in 2003

I think the new design completely sucks, mainly on the grounds of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".I see no point in changing Starfire's character design so radically. I also wonder if this redesign is some kind of sign of disrespect to the original fans of the comic book. Inkan 1969 Member 80's or not the big hair was a signature part of joined: Mar 19, 2002Starfire's look. The cartoon Starfire looks so wrong Messages: 858 Likes Received: without it. I'm also turned off by the very anorexic look of the new Starfire.I compare that to the original Starfire and I wonder if the TV show's makers are some kind of prudes who don't want female characters that look too feminine. I can understand why someone could have an issue with her old design (I don't), but making her this chubby when her power relies on vigorous physical activity… she'd really have to pig out to make herself this fat.

I'm not against her having a chubbier body, I just don't like that her head doesn't match… would it kill them to just give her slightly chubby cheeks or something? What's the point of making her chubby if you're just gonna give her a stereotypical slim girl pretty face?
